Abstract

The digital developments in the field of communication witnessed by Iraq have resulted in many problems in the concept of receiving information provided by the media, especially the traditional media, as there were numerous digital applications in the field of digital media that have spread widely among members of Iraqi society, after it was considered one of the Closed societies that only receive media messages from the traditional state media.                                                                  

The prevalence of the use of digital media among members of society led to the emergence of problems in the concept of receiving for traditional media, except that they were visible satellite channels or audible broadcasts or readable means, as these modern digital means have brought about wide transformations in some concepts of the communication message, in text and image and converted into data It can be retransmitted by the recipient who became, in the shadow of the digital information revolution, the sender of the communication message.                                                                                                      It is a clear fact that the audience has become one of the most important variables in the new communication process in its various forms and types, and the background of the recipient, his previous experiences, emotions, education, sex, age and personality are among the most important reasons for studying the concept of receiving, because the audience is the primary goal that the communicator seeks to influence and influence, and a problem arises. We discussed the answer to the main question (Does the problem of receiving in the shadow of digital media affect the traditional media audience)?
