This study aims to demonstrate the impact of context on guiding the meaning of vocabulary in Quranic stories, through an applied study of some of the words found in Surat Maryam, a surah rich in narrative situations with psychological, social, and religious dimensions. The importance of the research lies in revealing the rhetorical and semantic impact of the choice of Quranic vocabulary, and the extent to which it relates to the context of the story and the objectives of divine discourse. In the scientific documentation of our information sources, we will choose the Qur’anic interpretations that deal with the Qur’anic statement after we touch on the Arabic dictionaries that described to us the linguistic rooting of the meanings of words, without neglecting the rhetorical opinions that came from modern scholars regarding the context of the vocabulary. Limiting oneself to interpreting words without context can lead to error, misunderstanding, and misinterpretation. Therefore, I chose this surah because it contains diverse themes, including stories, images, and scenes that can be selected as models for the research.
