Abstract
Recent studies point out the existence of hyperactivity problem in some of the children at and during preschool ages. Specialists in school-health and psycho-clinics assert that hyperactivity is the cause of psychological, sanitary, educational, social, and judicial problems, and its proportion can be rated in (%6-9), and financial losses can be rated to be ($98 000 000) annually, and (%23) of those children become victims or cause a similar proportion of deaths to others due to their haste and inattention. In the time the biological studies give (%43) of the causality to heredity, studies in the field of social self gave the largest role to family upbringing. Specialists in the Iraqi psychological concern showed lately the occurrence of hyperactive behaviour and weak attention in the Iraqi environment, in addition to the whole results ensuing from it as the weakness of scholastic performance, and sabotage of public and private possessions. Therefore the current paper comes as a presiding effort to come closer to that behaviour in the Iraqi environment, and whether the psychological and social characteristics of the family environment had a role in its emergence and development.
