Renewable energy sources and their development applications in Iraq

Abstract

Energy is the main pillar of economic development, and its production and consumption are among the main indicators to describe the size of the country's economy, and the per capita rate of energy consumed in one country has become an evidence of its progress and advancement among the countries of the world.

The study aims to know the sources of renewable energy in Iraq and invest them in various economic sectors to achieve the goals of sustainable development.

The study showed the importance of a number of environmentally friendly renewable energy sources in Iraq, which are planned to be an important and successful source in the national energy mix at a rate of 10% by 2030, and from multiple resources, including solar energy, hydroelectric energy, wind energy, and biomass.
