Abstract

The subject of the research came with the aim of revealing the effect of vegetation cover on the climate elements (temperature - relative humidity - wind speed). Its basis summarized the results and put forward proposals and recommendations that can be benefited from. In guiding the methods of planning and organizing vegetation areas in a manner that ensures their efficiency in performing their climatic function, some mathematical methods related to comfort criteria have been used, including the temperature-humid index equation (THI) and the wind cooling equation ((K), in order to reach numerical results that help explain these phenomenon and the effect of vegetation cover on the local climate.

The results obtained showed the role of vegetation cover in reducing temperatures, as the difference in the average temperature in the Al-Kuraiyat neighborhood was between (3-5) C° from Al-Sadr Al-Oula neighborhood in summer, with an average of (2-3) in winter
