The agricultural potentials in the Zakho district and its development prospects

Abstract

The research aims to demonstrate the agricultural potentials and components in the Zakho district to be invested in this area, identify obstacles and problems and address them for developing plant production in the district.

    The research included four axes, the first axis dealt with the natural potentials in the district and the second axis discussed the human potential, while the third axis discussed a geographical analysis of the reality of plant production in the district, while the fourth axis tackled the problems of plant production and ways to address them.

After the study and investigation, the research concluded that the judiciary owns a large area of ​​agricultural land that can be invested to be the food basket of Iraq, with reference to the apparent variation in the production of various crops in terms of area and the limited government support for the agricultural sector, as well as the possibility of addressing problems and advancing the future of the plant sector by cooperating efforts among farmers. And the official authorities concerned.
