Abstract

    The problem of solid waste and its disposal is one of the most important problems facing cities, as the resulting quantities in urban societies in the world, including the city of Hilla, have begun to increase in large quantities. It leads to negative effects in the city, including pollution of environmental elements (water, air, soil), so it is necessary to work on treating them in ways that are commensurate with the city, which is its recycling recycling.

The study aimed to uncover the amount of solid waste in the city and to know its types and the possibility of recycling and then use it as new materials after recycling it can benefit from it according to its type and suitability, as well as its role in operating a large number of manpower in the collection and sorting operations.
