Abstract

Although Bohai had taken control of the Abbasid Caliphate by entering Baghdad in 334 AH and controlling the resouces of the caliphate, and adopting a policy that aimed at isolating the caliphs from politics that they followed in ruling Iraq. However, the scientific movement was not impacted by this new trend. It is worth mentioning that Baghdad witnessed in that period a scientific renaissance in various directions, and these movements were not affected by the political confrontations that the country witnessed at that time. In fact, the national unity remained coherent in that era due to social awareness, and the role of science in maturing the identity and developing knowledge. And scholars had a major role in supporting unity in the light of scientific councils and teaching different science and all their accompanied activites. All these matters were considered as pillars of Unity and cohesion in that era. Some of the Bohai princes acquiesced in this scientific renaissance and encouraged scientific activity.
