The Study of Geographical analysis of traffic accident deaths in Iraq for the year 2019

Abstract

This study aims to know the geographical analysis of the death cases caused by traffic accidents in Iraq, to ​​reveal the causes of their occurrence, and to propose a comprehensive strategy to raise the level of traffic safety in Iraq.

The research includes an analysis of the data of the Ministry of Planning, Directorate of Transportation and Communications Statistics for the year 2019, which indicates the occurrence of (10753) traffic accidents in Iraq, and collision accidents recorded the highest percentage (5666) accidents, 52.7% of the total traffic accidents, followed by run-over accidents (3770) accidents with a percentage of ( 35%) with overturning accidents (999), accident rate (9.3%).
