The Geographical analysis of efficiency of infrastructure services in the newly established Rummana District Center in 2020

Abstract

The idea of   the research came after the study area acquired the urban character with the issuance of the administrative decision to raise its rank to the center of the district, so it was required to study the geography of the basic services (drinking water, electricity, sewage, and waste treatment) that actually exist and their efficiency according to the approved planning standards according to the population size  and the individual’s need, and a questionnaire was designed and distributed randomly in order to know the extent of the population’s satisfaction with the services provided to them, and it was found that the study area suffers from a severe lack of infrastructure services, indicating that the study community suffers from a low living standard. Also the deprivation is one of the most essential and basic services in life, and that the relationship between the standard of living and the rate of deprivation is an inverse relationship, as the higher the deprivation indicators, the lower the community's standard of living.
