Abstract

There are many fields of art education, including visual arts in design and decoration, which is the interdependence of design relations in achieving the aesthetic values ​​of the artistic product and crystallizing the aesthetic taste to convey the message, including the relationships that the design carries in the formation of its elements to convey the idea, goal, or message with a functional relationship to what was done for the design. .

The current study was devoted to the technical design foundations of the logos of the Iraqi University and its institutions.

 The research problem was identified in asking questions:

What are the technical foundations used in designing the logos of the Iraqi University and its institutions?

In addition to achieving the answer to the above, the research also aimed to develop the culture of the community and the awareness of those concerned with the role and size of the aesthetic values ​​of the educational institution’s logo to achieve its goal of communicating the educational institution’s mission, goals, and community services.

From the results of the study, the technical design foundations of logos varied in their vocabulary (formative units) and their use in the interrelationships between them. Its role was not clear in the structure of the slogans in organizing and achieving (rhythm, proportion, diversity, balance, and harmony), but rather weak relations in the structure of the slogan. It is necessary to reformulate the design of the slogans of the colleges, based on the technical and aesthetic foundations, to emphasize the unity of the objective interconnection between the university slogan and its institutions, to give this objective interconnection and privacy to the Iraqi University and its institutions and to give it privacy between scientific institutions locally and globally. Taking into account the specificity of each institution within a space of interdependent relationships.
