The Arab Homeland in Al-Saqqaf’s Poetry (D1431H)

Abstract

The nation's scholars have paid attention to consensus and paid great attention to transmitting it and verifying it in various sections of the various legal sciences, including their consensus in interpreting the verses of God Almighty, whether related to rulings or otherwise.

Since the statement of consensus, its transmission, and its narration are included in ijtihad, it is possible for it to be true or false, and to agree and disagree, and if the meaning of the noble verse is based on a statement unanimously agreed upon by the interpreters of the ancestors, it is considered one of the strongest types of interpretation. Indeed, it must be relied upon and not contradicted, as is established in the principles of interpretation, and this study also draws its conclusions. Its importance stems from the strength of its connection with the Holy Qur’an, and with its basic purpose, which is the science of interpretation, which clarifies what God Almighty intends in His Book, by examining the sayings of the interpreters regarding the meaning of the Qur’anic verse through combination and extrapolation.
