Abstract

Geographical diversity, social disparity, and population diversity are among the characteristics of Sudan, in addition to the succession of diverse political regimes in power, as the governments were both civilian and military, which led to political instability in Sudan, which led to a significant deterioration of the situation, which led to the occurrence Of the coups,  Some of them succeeded and most of them failed, which greatly deteriorated the conditions of the Sudanese street in political, economic and social terms, the last of which was the coup of May 25, 1969, which was carried out by a group of Free Officers led by Muhammad Jaafar Numeiri. It was a military coup that was preceded by a crisis political atmosphere headed by conspiracies and alliances eager for power and followed it. Many events are considered among the most important political events in the history of Sudan.
