The research revealed a variation in the distribution of gypsum factories within the districts of Anbar Governorate, as the geographical distribution of these factories depends on a set of economic and geographical factors. The study showed that most of the factories are concentrated within the districts of Ramadi and Al-Karmah. The study also demonstrated the number of industrial factories, the number of employees, and the production quantities. The study also addressed the location patterns to analyze the reality of gypsum factories in the study area using quantitative and statistical methods represented by the Gypsum-Martin Index, which indicates the absolute concentration of the gypsum industry in the districts of Ramadi and Al-Karmah; the industrial specialization coefficient, which indicates that Anbar Governorate is not specialized in the gypsum industry due to the diversity of branches of small construction industries in the governorate; the industrial location coefficient, which indicated that the gypsum industry is highly endemic; and the standard distance analysis method, which revealed the random clustered distribution in the districts of Ramadi and Al-Karmah within the study area.
