Air taxi flights are one of the activities carried out by Iraqi airports. Seven Iraqi airports and one military base have carried out private flights (air taxis), with a total of approximately 3,307 flights in 2023. Baghdad and Erbil airports achieved the highest percentages of flights (36.5% and 35.5%, respectively). As for the number of air taxi passengers, Baghdad Airport accounted for 32.4%, Al-Helfaya Airport 25.7%, Erbil Airport 18.4%, and Basra Airport 16.4%. As for international flight destinations, Dubai International Airport had the highest number of flights (410) and passengers (1355), followed by Queen Alia Airport in Jordan with( 267) flights and (576) passengers. The European destination that appeared in the research was Paris Airport, with 40 flights and 128 passengers. The research concluded that Iraq needs to develop this type of private air travel due to its importance and effective role in Iraq and the world, as it faces several challenges and requires a lot of infrastructure to fulfill the purposes for which this air service was created.
