"The Choices of Al-Andarabi in the Context of His Book Al-Eidah fi Al-Qira'at: A Comprehensive Study"

Abstract

Praise be to Allah who revealed the Book to His servant to be a warning to the worlds, and the two weights (angels and humans) are unable to bring something similar to it, even if some of them were to support each other. I send blessings and peace upon our master Muhammad, the master of all the children of Adam, who was given the comprehensive words, the seven repeatedly recited verses, and the glorious Quran. May Allah bless him and his good family, and all his companions.

This research is about the book "Al-Eidah fi Al-Qira'at" by Abu Abdullah Ahmad bin Abi Omar Al-Andarabi (died 470 AH), which holds a middle position among those writings, but its author was one of the leading figures in the science of readings, in terms of performance, teaching, and authorship. This calls for attention to him, studying him, and following his approach in the book, and his approach in presenting the issues of readings and simplifying them. I chose from his book the choices he mentioned in it My plan consisted of three chapters after the introduction The first: Identifying Imam Al-Andarabi

The second: Defining the choice and explaining its motives and controls

The third: Choices  Then I concluded with a conclusion in which I mentioned the most important results I reached. The book "Al-Eidah fi Al-Qira'at" is an important and authentic source in the readings; because it is one of the first writings written in the readings, in the issues of choice.
