Abstract

This research focuses on highlighting the efforts of Dr. Bahjat Abdul Ghafoor Al-Hadithi in the contemporary Islamic poem and its poets in Iraq. Al-Hadithi believes that the Islamic poem derives its language, meanings, ideas, imaginations and images from the perspective of the Islamic perception of the universe, life and humanity, provided that it carries the message of Islam and the call to achieve and apply it in life and on its various political, intellectual, ideological and social levels. The Islamic poem must have an Islamic goal and its main purpose must be to call to Islam as a belief and system. The Islamic poem is a final poem whose goal is Islam, calling to it, spreading its principles, values and teachings and striving to achieve them in all areas of life.
