Ahmad al-Taweel’s Method of Interpreting the Qur’an through the Qur’an in His Tafsir Wahat al-Tafsir

Abstract

The Holy Quran is the source of legislation for the nation, and Allah Almighty has commanded us to contemplate it and reflect on its meanings. This can only be achieved by knowing its meanings and learning how to interpret and explain it, as the science of interpretation is one of the most honorable, highest and sublime sciences. Engaging in it is a means of drawing closer to Allah and performing acts of obedience, due to the honor of its subject matter. Therefore, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Tawil (may Allah be pleased with him) took the lead in interpreting the Quran, and one of the sources he relied on in his interpretation is the Quran itself. Therefore, I wanted to study his approach to interpreting the Quran by the Quran under the title "Ahmed Al-Tawil's Approach to Interpreting the Quran by the Quran in His Interpretation (Oasis of Interpretation)". I have divided this research into three sections: First: Defining the concept of methodology, Second: Defining Sheikh Ahmed Al-Tawil and his interpretation (Oasis of Interpretation), Third: Al-Tawil's Approach to Interpreting the Quran by the Quran.
