Social Insights into Grammatical Structures in Al-Shatibi's Al-Maqasid Al-Shafiya

Abstract

In this research, we preferred to read in one of the works of Arabic grammar, to be a starting point for monitoring the types of social features scattered in grammatical issues with their explanations, evidence and examples. We chose for this path Al-Maqasid Al-Shafiyyah by Al-Shatibi; it is a work in which its author stopped at what is related to the speaker who utters words and creates expressions and his social conditions that prompted him to make what he said, stopping in which he links the syntactic criteria that determine usage and its justifications, analyzing them with the social dimensions related to the lives of Arabs. It is correct methodological reference to mention that the research will be limited to listing what we have monitored of social features in Al-Shatibi without detailing the explanation of the issues and mentioning the differences and commenting on the social feature in each issue; according to the research limitations that do not allow for detail. It is sufficient for us to present the partial social aspects without prejudice; to be comprehensive guidelines that we present in their entirety in another place that accommodates the detail. In each section, I will present three features that indicate the purpose.
