Abstract
The educational institution is seeking to link between the needs of the learner and the requirements on the one hand and its objectives on the other hand, which envisages planning to increase the expertise of learners' knowledge and information to enrich their lives during and after their studies through the various subjects. To achieve these goals, the educational programs are not limited to the traditional relations in the halls of the study, but beyond inside and outside the classroom, where programs, activities, events and a variety of attitudes which are included to enable students to solve problems that they encounter and to help them to build their personalities and develop their skills and abilities. One of these activities is Activities art, which is an important part of the process educational stages in university education.
In spite of the availability of activities in (AL IRAQIA UNIVERSITY), but it is noted that the number of students involved in the artistic activities constitutes a very small percentage compared with the proportion of the total number of students at the university.
Therefore it is necessary to carry out a study to identify the factors that make students participate in artistic activities and find ways to activate their participation from their point of view.
This field study is trying to investigate ways of activating the participation of students in technical activities, in order to extract the outcome of the results of this field which can be used to enhance the participation of students and the exercise of artistic activities in the (AL IRAQIA UNIVERSITY).
The objectives of the study are summarized in the following:
- Identify the participation factors in artistic activities for students of (AL IRAQIA UNIVERSITY) point of view.
- Identify the factors that lead to increase the activation participation percentage in artistic activities.
In light of the results yielded conclusions, including:
- Has not adopted the university and its colleges have not adopted the full artistic activities, these activities did not receive adequate support for their development Except in the narrow limits which did not include all branches and areas of artistic activities beside the absence of a central plan for organizing the work of the diverse artistic activities and almost crumpled in a spontaneous activation activities
- Achieving the goal of education can be done by expanding the perceptions of students towards artistic practices.it is the responsibility of the institution to deliver the goals and achieve quality in the construction of an integrated student personal according to the educational institution ambition.
- The role of educational institution is limited in management and supervision, and lacks the guidance and training in artistic activities. These activities are means of training students on educational leadership styles, and obedience, responsibility, and to instill a spirit of cooperation and altruism, sacrifice and giving.
The study resulted in a number of recommendations including:
- (AL IRAQIA UNIVERSITY) administration's efforts should be directed to raise the level of participation of students in all activities in all their diversity because of its importance to integrate students' personalities.
- Activation of artistic activity in the (AL IRAQIA UNIVERSITY), according to the educational goals of artistic activity and in line with the nature of the study in the enterprise facilities.
- Provide a centralized center or dedicated technical activities halls according to its terms of reference, and the provision of supplies and technical devices and modern equipment.
- Work to sweeten the students participants in artistic activities, through their support and make them aware of the importance of participating in these activities, and to meet the desires of their artistic ambition.
