Abstract

Quranic studies are among the most important studies that seek to demonstrate the wisdom and exhortation contained in the Book of God Almighty. In this study, the researcher seeks to examine arrogance in the verses of the Holy Quran, explaining its forms, manifestations, and rulings, as well as the harmful effects this behavior has on human life and society. This study begins with a summary that includes an introduction to the various research points. Then comes the first section, in which the researcher addresses the concept of arrogance in language and terminology, in addition to studying the forms of arrogance that humans fall into as stated in the Holy Quran. Then, in the second section, the researcher moves to study arrogance in the Quranic discourse. He begins by studying the stories of previous peoples and explaining the features of arrogance in their lives. He also addresses the images of arrogance in the human soul, such as tyranny, despotism, and self-bragging. In the third section, the researcher moves to study the effects of arrogance in the human soul by reviewing the consequences of arrogance and the end that befell every proud, self-conceited person. The researcher also reviews the method of preaching that aims to alert the recipient to the consequences of arrogance and forbid him from it. As for the fourth section, the researcher aims to explain the educational and moral effects of the stories of arrogance that were mentioned in the Holy Quran in order to reach a cure for this human behavior that God forbade and warned against in many of His verses. The research ends with a conclusion that includes the most important results and recommendations, and my list Sources and References.
