The aim is to bridge the gap in the literature on English writing mastery as a significant concern in the context of modernised learning practices in Iraq, by integrating TikTok and ChatGPT. Participants, comprising 100 EFL learners at Aliraqia University, were divided into two groups: those following traditional learning methods (books, classroom teaching) and others incorporating TikTok and ChatGPT into their learning process. A mixed-methods approach, combining both qualitative and quantitative analyses, was used to collect the data. The data was collected from three sources: (1) interviews, (2) questionnaires, and (3) a pre- and post-test design. The findings indicated that students who used TikTok and ChatGPT showed marked improvement in their writing skills through their attachment to these creative learning methods. It implies an innovative shift towards digital tools which can be given the qualities of being interactive and involving in educating one, therefore, calling upon instructors to apply these platforms for promoting creativity motivation and engagement about students. The curriculum developers are advised to integrate digital literacy and specific modules into the instruction, promoting a balanced approach. TikTok’s interactive and dynamic content was notably effective in enhancing creative and informal writing, while ChatGPT significantly contributed to formal writing and grammatical proficiency. The outcome underscores the importance of digital tools in language learning, highlighting their role in increasing engagement, motivation, and overall learning enhancement.
