Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, and prayers and peace be upon the Messenger of God, Muhammad, the Truthful, the Trustworthy.
Initiative in Islamic thought is the title of success and the way to invest in the circumstances in which the individual can achieve accomplishments and gains. If the initiative spreads in society, it will become a society characterized by vitality, and leads to the continuous development of its reality for the better. It is one of the important matters in the stability of nations and societies and achieving the appropriate level of their income and livelihood, and enabling people to invest their abilities and material and other potentials, as well as finding the ideal means to exploit what God has harnessed in the heavens and what is on the earth.
The importance of the topic is highlighted by the fact that it discusses an important topic that highlights the characteristic of initiative in Islamic thought, which included initiatives in the prophetic society, and the extent of the nation’s need today to adopt this characteristic and follow in the footsteps of the Prophet (may God be pleased with them) and his companions (may God be pleased with them) in eliminating various problems of social, economic and other life, as happened in the prophetic society. Providing the youth with initiatives that help them to continuously learn and gain knowledge throughout their lives. The initiative is a call to seize opportunities to do good because life is not safe and the terms are unknown, and what is possible today may not be tomorrow. Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “The world has departed, and the other has departed, and each one of them has children. So be among the children of the Hereafter, and do not be among the children of this world, because today is work and no reckoning, and tomorrow is reckoning and no work.” So how can we not race to do good deeds, but rather anticipate them to rise to the status of the righteous and the martyrs, and to follow the example of our scholars in spreading knowledge while focusing on the most important initiatives that contribute to building an aware generation capable of bearing responsibility and advancing society.
