In this research, I decided to study: the grammatical criticism of Sheikh Zakaria Al-Ansari (d. 926 AH) in his book Al-Durar Al-Sunniyyah based on Ibn Al-Nazim’s explanation of Al-Alfiyyah (constructed nouns: the demonstrative noun and the relative noun as an example), in order to find out what Sheikh Zakaria Al-Ansari mentioned in these issues, making himself a critic. What the commentator or other grammarians mentioned, basing his criticism on a broad linguistic and grammatical skill based on what the Arabs mentioned, what was heard from their eloquent scholars, and what he adopted in terms of grammatical analogy and reasoning. His grammatical criticism came accompanied by evidence that was used to determine grammatical principles and opinions, with the aim of revealing the scientific grammatical status. The distinction that Sheikh Zakaria Al-Ansari enjoys in one of his distinguished linguistic books is the Sunni pearls based on Ibn al-Nazim’s explanation of the millennium.
