This study aims to reveal who wanted to confuse the banknotes that rhetoric is semiotics itself, and can be dispensed with in the presence of semiotics; as it sheds light on the idea that rhetoric is nothing but another embodiment of semiotics, which can completely replace it, the reason for this is the deep penetration of semiotics into various sciences, to the point that it has come to dominate many modern researches and studies, therefore, the task of this research is to clarify the differences between the concept of rhetoric and the concept of semiotics, emphasizing that each of them has its own entity as an independent science and can be studied on its own, but the matter does not stop here; There is a possibility of linking them, which requires focusing on the points of overlap and dialogue between the different fields, and exploring what this overlap can offer in terms of benefits for both sides. Therefore, this research came organized in a regular manner, as it included an introductory introduction and three chapters that deal with each aspect separately. In the introduction, I defined the poet, and explained the concept of semiotics, as well as the concept of statement, with reference to the significance of both rhetoric and semiotics. As for the first section, I devoted it to simile, while the second section spoke about metaphor, while the third section dealt with metonymy. In the end, I summarized the most important results that the researcher reached, so that we crystallize a new and different vision that may enrich the world of literary studies and open new horizons.
