Summary
This research addresses the concept of "Tayyib" (good, pure) in the Holy Qur’an, as it is one of the fundamental values encouraged by Islam in speech, actions, food, and drink due to its positive impact on the individual and society
The first section explains the meaning of Tayyib linguistically and terminologically, and presents the most important words and expressions related to it in the Qur’an, such as Tayyibat (wholesome things), Qawl Tayyib (kind speech), Amal Salih (righteous deeds), and Rizq Halal lawful sustenance
The second section explores the domains in which Tayyib appears in the Qur’an, including
Tayyib in food and drink, where Allah commands the consumption of wholesome things and prohibits impure ones
Tayyib in speech and actions, such as kind words, truthfulness, enjoining good, and forbidding evil
The third section highlights the effects of Tayyib in the life of a Muslim, including
Paradise and the dwellings of the pure, where Allah promises the righteous gardens beneath which rivers flow
The virtues of Tayyib in the Qur’an, such as blessings in sustenance, purity of heart, and attaining the pleasure of Allah
The research concludes that the concept of Tayyib encompasses all that is good and lawful, and adhering to it leads to happiness in this life and the Hereafter. Therefore, a Muslim is encouraged to embody it in all aspects of life
