Biography of the Great Prophet Muhammad(peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) in the light of the views of Archbishop Rodrigo of Toledo (d. 625 Ah/1247 ad)

Abstract

  The bishops played a great role in the response to limit the spread of Islam in Europe in general, and in Andalusia in particular, because of the spread of Islam and its culture in it, and the entry of large numbers of their people into the Islamic religion, so they took it upon themselves to counteract this, so they studied Islam, the Holy Quran, as well as the life of the great prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), and among these was the bishop of Toledo Rodrigo (d .625 Ah/1247 AD), who took upon himself to study the life of Arabs in general, and and he received the purifying biography of him (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) in his writings, which came to stop a method, and a style that is not only scientific, but also malevolent.
