Abstract

  Current research aims to measure the impact of a program based on reflective thinking in the development of cognitive thinking skills above and scientific direction to the fourth grade students in biology, to verify the objective of this research was formulated following null hypotheses:

1 - There is no statistically significant difference at the level (0.05) between the average scores of students following studied using a program based on reflective thinking and the average scores ÇáÇí the studied using the usual method in the scale of cognitive thinking skills over.

2 - There is no statistically significant difference at the level (0.05) between the average scores of students following studied using a program based on reflective thinking and the average scores ÇáÇí the studied using the usual method in the test of scientific direction
   Was chosen experimental design is setting the partial two experimental and control groups that control one other , such as the research community students fourth grade in day school governmental preparatory and secondary of the Directorate of Education Diyala \ spend Baquba and choose random selected secondary or handed to represent the sample as it included two divisions fourth grade year selected Division (a) of (34) students to represent the control group , who studied using the method routine and Division (b) of (36) to represent the experimental group which studied using the program based on reflective thinking , Kovot Group Search in variables (intelligence - the previous information - above cognitive thinking skills , scientific direction) , but check out the goal Search promising: the first measure of cognitive thinking skills above included (30) Vqrho the Sedkiha been verified and virtual construction, has also been extraction coefficient difficulty and stability , as was (0.86) Have been prepared (27) plan instructional day of the experimental group on according to Steps program based on reflective thinking and the same for the control group on according to the way normal , applied experience in the classroom for the year 2012-2013 as it took (11) a week after the completion of the experiment dealt with the data statistically using the test Altaúa for the two samples is Mtsawita number results showed more than members of the group that studied by using a program based on reflective thinking on their peers follows studied using the method of normal in the scale of thinking skills over cognitive posttest and test the direction of scientific posttest in the light of the results researcher recommends using a program based on reflective thinking in teaching Biology and proposes to conduct studies of materials and different stages of study
