Abstract

The poet Elias Farhat، the son of the Renaissance era، contributed through his membership in the Andalusian League Association، which is characterized by the majority of Its poets’ human poetry. We relied on the descriptive and analytical approach to study the poetry of the poet Elias Abu Farhat، as he dealt with realistic humanitarian topics، and It is not surprising that this is reflected in the realism of the language.  Especially in poetry that talks about the lives of people of humble professions، we have reached a set of results، which is that Elias Farahat’s poetry was characterized by realism، which was evident In his chosen topics In the first place (love، flirtation، travel، companionship، housing، the traveling salesman، the lover) ، as they are topics Inspired by his reality، which he lives in the company of those who accompanied him in the various areas of his life. Realism was also reflected In his simple and easy poetic language، which approaches the level of the simple reader who does not require extensive knowledge in the field of language to understand the poetry in his hands. Another manifestation of realism Is the absence of the verses that we have cited.  In the body of this research of graphic images that rely on the meanings and added meanings on vocabulary phenomena that require the reader’s mind to be activated to understand the poet’s intent، the poet Farhat resorted to what Is known as poetic stories. In each group of verses we find a story drawn in a realistic poetic style that tells us about a scene or action.  The poet does It with his elements and surroundings، especially the story of the cart In the story of the traveling salesman.
