Abstract

Summary

After Mohamed Anwar Sadat assumed power he became convinced OF  The necessity of opening up communication with Western countries if he attempted to obtain weapons from sources there than the Soviet Union. He sent letters to both Britain and France proposing to supply Egypt with weapons and expressing his willingness to pay for them in cash. However, His efforts failed There fore , he worked to improve relations by prime Minster Aziz SedKi  to Moscow in October 1972 . The Soviets then  Agreed to supply Egypt with the spare parts it needed for its air force  and to return some of the SAM missiles that had been with  Drawn from Egypt in July of the Some year to confirm the good relation the Soviet Union rushed to Egypt with advanced weapons enabling it to  laungch the war on October61973. The Israel War represented Aqualitative shift that differed from previous war represented Aqualitative  Shift  that differed from preious wars the Egyptian army was able to shatter the myth of the invincible army. This war restored Arab confidence in the mselves and their armies. Countries around The world also began to reconsider their position on Israel after the Arab army

Destroyed the greatest edifice .A buffer zone between Egypt and Israel called The( Bar-Lev Line
