Elegy in the Poetry of Abu Hayyan al-Andalusi - A Study of the Subject

Abstract

This study discusses the subject of elegy in Andalusian poetry, a subject that contains a great deal of sincere emotion. It is a study that examines the elegiac poetry of a great scholar of interpretation, grammar, and rhetoric, and a great poet of the poets of Andalusia, dear to hearts, namely Abu Hayyan al-Andalusi. This is done by shedding light on the nature of elegy, and clarifying the objective and artistic aspects of the subject of elegy in his view.
