(Geographical analysis of the phenomenon of divorce in the city of Baghdad for the period 2017-2022)

Abstract

      The subject of the study was the geographical analysis of the phenomenon of divorce recorded in the Baghdad Governorate on the Karkh and Rusafa side for the period 2017-2022. The phenomenon of divorce in the Baghdad Governorate, because of this phenomenon’s negative societal effects in general on the population. The importance of the study lies in analyzing the phenomenon of divorce geographically in the Baghdad Governorate according to The administrative regions and all administrative units of the governorate, and knowing the groups in which the rate of this phenomenon increases, as well as identifying the main and important causes of this phenomenon and knowing them accurately, and trying to reduce this phenomenon by analyzing the fundamental reasons that increase this phenomenon among the residents of the governorate, and knowing There are also ways to try to solve the problems that led to divorce.

The study relied on the descriptive analytical approach by collecting and restricting data on this phenomenon, analyzing it carefully, finding the relationship between them, and giving results of actual value that are the desired goal being investigated. The study relied on the results of estimates for the years 2017 and 2022, This is for various reasons, including social, economic, and cultural reasons. The study concluded with the most important results and recommendations derived from this research.
