Abstract

The choice of research topic entitled "The opposition in Saudi Arabia, 1953-1975," a term that followed the death of King Abdul Aziz Al Saud, and took the throne of his son Saud then came after him, his brother King Faisal in 1964 until 1975, a period which was full of events during which mounting opposition to the Saudi regime, which addressed her harshly Activity, and the events surrounding the secrecy and obfuscation, and in order to prevent Veuaha and spread.

So the search for objective justification, which aims to find out the real implications of the goals of the opposition and the role of the system in addressing its national and pan and objectives.

Seen through research that demands participation, whether from the public or from social elites or from some opponents of the ruling family itself members, been to no avail remember that the oil boom began in the seventies dropped those demands gradually, and in light of that crystallized the ideas and aspirations of the revolutionary expressed associations, organizations and parties, and disclosed its indignation and dissatisfaction with the regime's policy for various forms of social and political protest, to the extent of the use of violence. Therefore, understanding the nature of the Saudi regime highlights the real implications of political events or rebellions and opposition movements which have not been fortunate publicity, all of which clearly reflect the real dilemma faced the Saudi regime, while behaviorally and intellectually society develops stop the political system unable to keep pace with these developments including the campaign of the results and implications.
