Abstract:
The topic of the East and the West is one of the topics that has received special attention in the Holy Qur'an, as they are mentioned repeatedly in numerous places. This repetition is not a coincidence, but rather reflects the great importance of these two pillars in the system of the universe that God Almighty created and perfected. The East is the source of light and the rising of the sun, and the West is the setting of the sun, both of which constitute the daily cycle of human life. From this standpoint, this objective study aims to shed light on the connotations of the East and the West in the Holy Qur'an and to reveal the various dimensions that this duality carries in Qur'anic discourse. Understanding these connotations contributes to deepening our contemplation of God Almighty's Book and increases our faith in the Creator's greatness and dazzling power.
