The interpretive views of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) on the verses of faith according to al-Qurtubi's interpretation (Al-Jami' li Ahkam al-Qur'an)

Abstract

Summary

This research aims to shed light on the sayings of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and their position in interpretation, while stopping at the era of Imam Abu Abdullah Muhammad ibn Ahmad al-Ansari al-Qurtubi, and examining aspects of his personal and scientific biography, in addition to introducing his comprehensive interpretation of the rulings of the Qur’an, and explaining its scientific value, especially with regard to the verses of faith. My desire to choose this topic stemmed from my keenness for it to be appropriate to my scientific specialization, and in line with the needs of society and the circumstances of the era. Several factors combined to direct me towards this choice, the most prominent of which are: examining the quotes of Imam al-Qurtubi about the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) from those who preceded him among the interpreters, and getting to know the sources of those quotes, in addition to highlighting the efforts of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in interpreting the Holy Qur’an, and explaining the features of their scientific and interpretive biographies.
