Abstract

Based on the magnitude of the challenges facing the Tikrit district, which include the spread of various crimes that have led to a state of chaos and disruption in the performance of institutions, we chose the title "Geographical Distribution of Police Stations in Tikrit District Using Geographic Information Systems." The administrative units differ in terms of area and population, and the district includes six police stations that are distributed in a manner that does not align with the Ministry of the Interior's standards. This misdistribution has contributed to the spread of crime in its various forms across the administrative units within the area. Additionally, security personnel have not been distributed to police stations according to the Ministry of the Interior's standards. Therefore, it was found that the distribution pattern of police stations in Tikrit District is scattered.
