Abstract

The research aims to collect and study the meanings of the letters mentioned in the book “Al-Bustan” in parsing the problems of the Qur’an by Ibn Al-Ahnaf Al-Yemeni. The direction of letters is one of the most important grammatical phenomena that most languages depend on to increase their lexical wealth and multiply their meanings. The possibility of a letter to have another meaning is to extract one meaning from another meaning, provided that it is appropriate to the meaning mentioned in the verse. The study included two chapters, headed by an introduction on the effect of letters in directing the meaning of the Qur’anic text.
