Abstract

Abstract:

The Quran contains many verses indicating that Allah will double the punishment in the Hellfire for certain people. The most prominent among these are those who fabricate lies about Allah, invent sayings, and attribute to Him what He is free from. Another group includes those who obstruct the way of Allah and seek to make it crooked, by leading people away from faith in Him, spreading doubts and desires. Also included are those who commit numerous major sins, such as associating partners with Allah, killing the soul that Allah has forbidden to kill, committing adultery, and other categories explained in the research.

Each group is discussed in a separate section, where the verses mentioning these categories are cited, along with the reasons for the doubling of their punishment. The research also clarifies that the doubling of the punishment does not contradict divine justice, but rather is part of Allah’s complete justice and wisdom.

The introduction of the research defines the meaning of "weakness" both in the Arabic language and in the Quran. The research ends with a conclusion summarizing the findings.
