Abstract

This research examines the phenomenon of Prophetic eulogies in Iraqi poetry in the last quarter of the twentieth century, shedding light on the development of this poetic art and its impact on Iraqi culture and literature. The research aims to analyze the stylistic and artistic features of Prophetic eulogies, in addition to studying the religious and social dimensions reflected in this type of poetry.

The research relied on studying selected models of prominent and obscure Iraqi poets alike, focusing on their use of rhetorical images and poetic styles in expressing love and reverence for the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The research also addresses the impact of Prophetic eulogies on political and social transformations in Iraq at this stage, and the extent to which they continue as part of the Arab poetic heritage.

The research concluded that Prophetic eulogies in Iraqi poetry were not merely a restoration of traditional patterns, but rather witnessed a remarkable development in terms of content and styles, reflecting the poets' interaction with the issues of their time, while preserving the spiritual and devotional character of this literary genre.
