This research deals with the most important challenges facing cities nowadays, which have become a familiar and recurring phenomenon, and the search for effective solutions and approaches to meet these challenges is the main priority for those interested in this matter, Most Iraqi cities suffer from a clear imbalance in the face of crises and epidemics and the lack of clear mechanisms or measures to face these challenges, The research highlights the most important treatments and planning visions used in cities to face epidemics and recurrent crises by studying the most important indicators related to the subject of research and how to deal with them during the crisis, Cities in general face many events, problems and crises that directly affect people's lives, lives and property, and the levels of crises vary depending on the type of cause (time, environment) in which they occur, Planning is one of the key elements in responding to these events, so it is necessary to understand the circumstances that affect the events as they occur, including the role of planning and the media used, as well as strategies for acting during crises, It is also necessary to identify the most important technologies and developments that have contributed significantly to the progress of cities and changing planning concepts, which helped to meet and overcome the challenges facing communities.
