Perhaps the greatest blessings that God Almighty has bestowed upon humanity is the blessing of Islam, the blessing of salvation from paganism and the worship of alleged gods, the monotheism of the One and Only God, and the pure worship of His noble face. God Almighty has placed the responsibility of calling to the religion of Islam in the hands of the best of His creation. He was sent by Muhammad, may God bless him and his family and grant them peace, so that after him the purest members of his family, peace be upon them, would come to carry the banner of the call and continue in it.

There have been successive preachers to the religion of Islam in various ways, styles and approaches, and these approaches have diversified and developed, to be suitable for the era in which the call to the true religion is being carried out. The Islamic call has a set of principles, starting with the subject of the call, which is the religion of Islam, the religion of goodness and truth. The second is the caller to this religion, the third is the recipient of this call, and the fourth is the methods and approaches that preachers follow for the call.In the modern era, a number of scholars and commentators have emerged who followed the Islamic call, including Muhammad Metwally Al-Shaarawi, who had a contemporary preaching and interpretive approach through which he worked to renew the call to Islam and clarify its principles and methods in his own way and style. Accordingly, this research will address the features of Al-Shaarawi’s methodology in clarifying the principles of advocacy, and study his advocacy approach and his explanation of the methods and approaches of advocacy In order to analyze the features of his methodology. The importance of this research is evident from the fact that the Islamic call is a continuous matter throughout the ages until the appearance of Imam Mahdi, peace be upon him, and this is what makes the call a matter that needs to be kept up with in every era to face the difficulties and challenges on its way.

In this research, we will rely on the descriptive and analytical approach to describe the approach of Muhammad Metwally Al-Shaarawi with regard to the origins and methods of advocacy and to analyze the characteristics of this approach in calling to the truth.
