Existentialism in the poetry of Al-Maghout.

Abstract

Existentialism is a drawing of pure reality and a reference to clear goals that affect a person and express his concerns, whichh appeared and worsened during the world wars from whichh everyone emerged having lost a lot, and to reveal the features of existentialism In Arabic literature and how the poet and writer become In harmony with his reality and employ his feelings and poetic sentences in drawing this.  Reality and portraying his suffering around it through the topics and content of his poems. The aim of the research was to study the poetry of Al-Maghout, whose influence became widespread In theatre. We should also search for existentialism in his poetry, and we arrived at a set of results. In Al-Maghout’s topics, all of them are purely existential. He raises daily Issues that he and his society live at the same time.  Pessimism, depression, and sadness are a feature that almost never separates from Al-Maghout’s verses In his various topics, and this Is not related to existentialism only, but optimism Is present In it, but Al-Maghout is a person who loved sadness and told the reader that he Is an old friend of his. The poet did not pay attention to other topics that might attract the poet’s attention In nature, the universe, or the world of Imagination, but rather  In all his forms, he was realistic, drawing from his reality what he wanted. Al-Maghout’s sense of what was happening around him was completely clear. With his sensitivity, he extracted the concerns of people at their various levels and wrote them down in his verses after he had the abilIty to live with them and feel them. Al-Maghout emerged existentially In his Isolation and the tragic tone that ran through his verses, as well as  In hIs alienation and self-harmony, and his taking of the free human being as a way to live as he pleases and choose what suits him and suits his Inner desire and feeling In search of his self-security and escape from the reality he lives In.
