Praise be to God, then praise be to God, then praise be to God, by whose grace good deeds are accomplished, and prayers and peace be upon the Messenger as a mercy to the worlds, the Seal of the Prophets and Messengers.
The study of Sicilian poetry in this collection is an important step in the circle of literary research and studies in our Arabic literature, which expanded with the expansion of the Islamic conquests throughout the earth, emerging from a limited geographical scope to a broader and more welcoming space that extended beyond the seas. One of its fruits was Sicilian poetry on this island, so I worked By studying this collection and the poetry of the Sicilians, the dust of the years will be removed from their wonderful poems and verses. In this research, I dealt with the artistic image in Sicilian poetry, and the results of the research reached the following:
- The research expanded to include the artistic image of mental poetry. In constructing their poetic images, these poets came from a clear and tangible influence on their nature and their surrounding environment, as well as their ideas, religious inclinations, and their literary and linguistic culture. Their images mixed between the stereotypical image and the innovative image. What highlighted their images was their style of writing. Personification, similes, and metaphors, which produced images similar to those of the Orientals, but with high, good, and new wording and professionalism. They excelled at building intertwined and diverse relationships
