The reference is one of the tributaries of the statement and a reason for educating the saying and its rulings, and it does not deny its rhetorical position, and we did not find a detailed study in the books of rhetoric about it and its rhetorical functions except for the warnings that can be employed in enriching this aspect and moving it by noticing the evidence in which there are references, so we look at how the speaker used them to perform What are the meanings and connotations in themselves, and the extent of the ability of these signs to form the meaning, and to create an emotional effect. I sought to extend this aspect of the lesson by observing what was mentioned in the fields of Islamic heritage: in the science of origins, and the hadith from employing the statement with the external verb in controlling the significance of the rulings and inferring them to determine the purposes due to the scarcity of texts in the books of the rhetoricians.
