The impact of media institutions on spreading the culture of tolerance and peaceful coexistence in Iraqi society

Peaceful coexistence has become a humanitarian necessity to settle relations at the international and national levels, as it is one of the pivotal concepts aimed at managing difference and diversity in human societies and transforming it into a force to enhance security and establish the foundations of peace. Therefore, the research aims to shed light on the impact of media institutions on spreading the culture of tolerance and peaceful coexistence in Iraqi society, the study relies on the descriptive analytical approach, which is based on analyzing the research phenomenon and identifying the influence of media institutions on spreading the culture of tolerance and peaceful coexistence, and then analyzing the impact of this on the progress and development of Iraqi society, The study concluded that there is a high level of the role of media institutions in Iraqi society from the point of view of the members of the study sample, where the value of the arithmetic mean reached 4.179 with a standard deviation of 0.777, which answers the first question of the study, that there is a very high level of the reality of the culture of tolerance and peaceful coexistence in Iraqi society from The point of view of the study sample members, where the arithmetic mean value was 4.325 with a standard deviation of 0.672, which answers the second question of the study. The study recommended the necessity of working to increase the awareness of community members about the important role of media institutions and the media in finding solutions to society’s problems.
