In this study, titled "The Impact of Using Modern Educational Technologies on Increasing Academic Achievement in History for Middle School Students," the researcher aims to understand the effect and effectiveness of modern technologies in teaching history and how their use can enhance academic achievement rates among middle school students.
The researcher employed a descriptive-analytical method and utilized previous studies to construct a measurement tool reflecting history teachers' perspectives on using modern technologies in teaching the subject and presenting it to students at this educational stage. The sample consisted of 21 teachers from Al-Karkh schools in Baghdad, selected randomly. Data from the opinion survey were analyzed and interpreted, leading to the following conclusions:
- The use of modern technologies positively affects the academic achievement in history among middle school students.
- There is a significant and necessary need for laboratories and modern technological tools.
- There is a substantial need to subject teachers to training and rehabilitation processes to enhance their professional efficiency in using modern technologies.
The researcher recommended conducting similar studies on other subjects where modern technologies are used in teaching to understand the positive impact in light of technological development and the use of modern technology as teaching methods.
