Abstract

The Formation of Poetic Imagery in the Poetry of the Bani Bakr Poets in the Pre-Islamic Era: A Study of Implicit Patterns

In this study, we will trace the implicit patterns hidden behind the scenes of poetic imagery in Bani Bakr poetry. It is necessary for us to shed light on some parts of pre-Islamic poetry that are built on an integrated structure in terms of themes and components. Pre-Islamic poetry is not to be underestimated when it comes to the reasons and means of forming poetic imagery, and the social implications that influence this formation in both its apparent and implicit aspects. Particularly because the formation of imagery in pre-Islamic poetry is linked to reality and the social environment, as the components of the image and the means of portraying it are realistic and not imaginary, especially in the majority of cases with pre-Islamic poets. This does not negate the poet's ability to be imaginative in creating scenes, but within the bounds of a gentle imagination that aligns with reality.
