Abstract

The research included controversial grammatical and dialectal issues in the book Asrār al-Ḥūf by Abu al-Qasim al-Kirmani (died around 525 AH). It was found through the study of the selected issues that they occupied a part of al-Kirmani’s book. It appeared through the research that al-Kirmani mentions grammatical and dialectal differences briefly, and occasionally mentions grammatical schools of thought. In the book, he mentions the evidence of the Basri and Kufi schools of thought without giving any weight, and sometimes he prefers the opinion that he deems correct, but most of the time he leans towards the Basrans.
