Abstract

The research aimed to identify the impact of the earthquake that  hit all Syrian governorates and the multiple negative effects it had on the components of the environment. The research sample consisted of (221) engineers Working in the Environment Directorate in Aleppo, The researcher used the descriptive analytical method and developed a questionnaire consisting of (16) items. The research reached a number of results as follows:

1-After the destruction of the infrastructure, he obtained an average score of (3.86).

 2-After water pollution, an arithmetic average of (3.43) was obtained.

3-After air pollution, he obtained an arithmetic average of (3.55)

and after  air  pollution he obtained a mean of (3.55

4-There are no statistically significant differences between the average scores of the sample members for their estimates of impact The earthquake on the components of the Syrian environment according to the gender variable

5-There are statistically significant differences between the average scores of sample members for their estimates of impact

 The earthquake affected the components of the Syrian environment according to the experience variable in favor of 10 years or more
