Abstract

Educational services are considered one of the most important pillars of civilization and human development, as they are the effective element in developing the capabilities of individuals and communities. Especially rural educational services, which are among the elements of bridging the gap between urban and rural areas and reducing the disparities between these two environments in order to stop the migration from rural areas to urban centers. Therefore, the research aims to clarify the rural educational services, especially in Al-Bawshar province and its importance. The study found that there are 11 primary schools and 8 secondary schools in the study area, distributed in various villages of the province. In general, most of the schools tend to cluster in a non-ideal location and outside the main road connecting those villages. The study will demonstrate the distribution and functional efficiency of these schools using the standard distance model and nearest neighbor analysis to show the distribution pattern and the distance between the studied phenomena. Through statistical analysis, the study found that there are schools where the number of students exceeds the planning standard, and the distribution of schools neglects important residential clusters such as the village of Hawiyah. The proposed solutions include reconsidering the relocation of some schools to serve a larger population without the need for additional effort, time, and material resources.
